About us

The Society of Framland Ringers was founded at Waltham-on-the-Wolds on the 29th November 1875 covering the Framland Deanery around Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire

Our aims are to encourage and promote ringing for Divine Worship, to give qualified instruction to learners in the art of bell ringing, provide advice to help ensure that bells and fittings are maintained in a proper condition, to give as much assistance as possible to all towers within the Society in achieving the above objective and to provide an opportunity for ringers to meet socially.

We try to ring at most of the churches in the Deanery with 5 or more bells.  Our meetings are usually (with a few exceptions) on the first Saturday of each month.  There is no meeting in January.
